County Durham Wedding Photography - Clare and Chris

I originally got an email from Clare and Chris's best man Simon to enquiry about my availability to photograph their wedding. When speaking to Simon in more detail about the day it turned out that he  and some friends of the bride and groom were clubbing together to hire a photographer as a wedding present. It was such a lovely gift to give the bride and groom so they would have some photos to remember the day with.

Clare and Chris got married at Durham Registry Office and had their reception at The Black Horse in Beamish, County Durham.  On the morning of the wedding I looked out of the window to be greeted with black clouds and pouring rain, but I was very lucky that it held off for a short while for the arrival of the guests for the ceremony. Another break in the weather allowed me to get a few shots in the grounds of Durham Registry office before the heavens opened again and we all ran for our cars to head to the reception. It was a small and intimate day with around 20 guests attending the ceremony and wedding breakfast; Clare and Chris wanted to make sure an individual photograph of each guests was taken so they could look back and remember everyone who shared in their celebrations.

I really enjoyed being part of their big day and wish them a very happy life together as husband and wife. I would also like to give a special mention to the group of friends who made the booking as I think it made the day even more special for the happy couple.
